This small movie shows the leapsecond on 2012-06-30 on a homebuilt receiver for the German DCF-77 signal. The rightmost 'digital point' of the display is the received signal. Note how the 59th second (which is normally silent) actually gets broadcast. The end of the minute is now indicated by not transmitting the 60th second intsead. The digital point on the display for the tens of secons is on, to indicate that the 'Leap Second Announcement' bit was ON in the broadcast of the previous minute.
